Meat Consumption and Climate Change

Workshop speakers: Jens Holm, Sonja Lewandowski, Sune Borkfelt, Wayne CW Kao, International Union Against Cancer (UICC).
A major shift away from meat-based diets is an essential part of efforts to stop global climate change and other environmental threats. Different reports will be considered, including the 2006 UN FAO report “Livestock’s Long Shadow”. The questions of how to increase awareness of the dietary connections to climate change, and how to reduce the consumption of animal products in favour of plant-based diets, will also be discussed.
